Dreaming in Colour and Shape15 Jan - 15 Apr 2023 Daa Art is proud to present, “Dreaming in Colour and Shape”, an exhibition of fascinating artworks that elicit our senses through pure patterns of form, colour and line. The curated pieces exhibit a variety of artworks that explore the concept of abstract art through calligraphy, geometric shapes, and gestural marks that often have no relation at all to an external visual reality. The exhibited artworks challenge our perception and show us a vivid alternate reality using saturated palettes, ambiguous bodily language and reconfiguration of forms and shapes.

What Is Bothering You?13 Jul - 13 Oct 2022 What are you thinking about? What is bothering you?
Daa Art is delighted to announce its second exhibition featuring a selection of figurative artworks by emerging artists in diaspora.
Gilles Deleuze argues that with art we reach “sensation”, or the “being of the sensible,” the sentiendum. In this regard, Deleuze cites Francis Bacon: an artwork produces an effect on the nervous system, not on the brain. With the second exhibition, Daa Art is exploring how figurative artworks transform the body to an extension of the world in which it is situated. The featured artworks try to push us out of our habits of perception and force us to experience the “being of the sensible”. What are you thinking about? What is bothering you? introduce us to unconscious optics as does psychoanalysis to unconscious impulses, i.e. the enlargement of a body does not simply render precise what in any case was visible. It reveals entirely new structural formations of the subject.
Improbable EncountersMemory, Hybridity, and Displacement 8 Mar - 20 May 2022 Our first exhibition aims to create space for new and emerging artists living and working in Iran and the United Kingdom in what we hope will be the first step towards a generative dialogue and critical conversation between the artists in question, as well as the two wider artistic communities. For far too long engagements of this kind have found themselves overshadowed and obscured by high politics, impenetrable borders and media sensationalism.
